3AC’s Rare CryptoPunks Auctioned at Sotheby’s: A Pop Culture Phenomenon

• Three Arrows Capital (3AC) declared bankruptcy in July 2022, resulting in the seizure of many of their investment vehicles, including NFTs.

Three Arrows Capital Bankruptcy

In July 2022, Three Arrows Capital (3AC), a crypto hedge fund, declared bankruptcy. This led to the seizure of many of its investment vehicles, including Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Sotheby’s Auction

Sotheby’s has now announced that it will be hosting a sale featuring 3AC’s Grails collection of NFTs. This multi-part sale is set to commence in May at Sotheby’s marquee sale in New York. The selection on offer includes rare CryptoPunks and Fidenza pieces as well as work from renowned artists such as Dmitri Cherniak, Snowfro and Tyler Hobbs.
